Is the KINNEBAR safe to use in my practice?

Yes. The KINNEBAR was tested by a third-party testing facility that was approved by the Consumer Product Safety Commission. Any product that is intended for children under the age of 12 must be tested for hazardous chemicals and mechanical hazards. We are proud to say the KINNEBAR passed with flying colors and does not contain any hazardous chemicals. When used in the matter it was intended, the KINNEBAR is safe to use.

Who would benefit from using the KINNEBAR Foot Swing?

Some kids, especially children who are neurodivergent, have a genuine need to move and this results in restlessness, fidgeting, and difficulty listening or focusing. Sometimes this can happen during therapy when you have a limited time with a child. Utilize the KINNEBAR when you are working on things like handwriting, fine motors skills, typing and speech therapy to keep everyone on track.

"I have used a Kinnebar Foot Swing in a private pediatric OT clinic for the past several months, and have observed many children asking their parents if they can have one at school! Kinnebar can be a great tool to improve self-regulation, especially in children with attention deficits or those with poor self-regulation.  By allowing linear motion with both feet, Kinnebar provides movement to children who may need this type of input. Another awesome benefit is that Kinnebar is so quiet that it is barely noticeable and is not a distraction to others!  This can provide a great alternative for those children who may have been unsuccessful using a ball chair or other alternative seating methods.  I foresee and look forward to many children learning more successfully with the Kinnebar Foot Swing!"
